Happy New Year
Happy New Year to all of our supporters! We had an amazing start in 2020 and can’t wait to get started in 2021!! There are several amazing new initiatives to share with you this year listed below.

Think Veterans First 2021 Initiatives

March 12th Event – Think Veterans First one year anniversary is March 9, 2021. We were planning to hold a special event at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum but have decided to move the event to a virtual event given the challenges with controlling COVID-19. We certainly want to be responsible and sensitive to the health and safety of our supporters, veterans and community. The virtual format is a work in progress, more details will be shared with you as we work out the details.

Fireside Chats – We are planning up close and personal Interviews with Veteran business owners. The plan is to start these interviews this month and continue them throughout the year. This will give you the opportunity to meet the owners, find out more about what they do and what services they provide. We are so excited and looking forward to this new 2021 initiative!!

Think Veterans First Blog – GoDaddy added a Blog Page to the website! The live interviews will be housed on this page, along with other newsworthy messages and updates!! There is also a plan to add e-Commerce capability to the website to raise funds to assist veteran entrepreneurs. Check it out, www.buyvet.org!

Vet Ohio – Vet Ohio is scheduled for September. We are so hopeful that we will be able to have this event. This is where all of the veteran owned businesses can come together and set up booths, or displays for the general public to showcase what they do, and provide an opportunity to network with other veteran businesses to share best practices to grow their businesses. More info will be published about this event as we get closer.

Think Veterans Firsteran App – Preliminary meetings for creation of the Think Veterans Firsteran app are under way. We are working to have the app up and running this year. More to come as we continue to make progress.

New Staff! – We have added a new member to the Think Veterans First Team! Bryttani Barker Debro will join us as the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator. She has already implemented some new ideas, and we are so excited to have her!! Bryttani brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team graduating from The Ohio State University with a Masters in Social Work in 2020, a Masters in Pubic Administration from Ohio University in 2016, and a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio University in 2012. She has served in various roles for both For Profit and Non Profit organizations. Please join us in welcoming Bryttani to the Think Veterans First team!!

Corporate Sponsor Recognition

Think Veterans First will feature one Corporate Sponsor each week and we thank them for their support. This week, we are pleased to introduce Holistic Alchemy in Atlanta, GA under the direction of Dr. Y. Falami Devoe, a Body Liberation Coach, Speaker and Sound Healer. Holistic Alchemy is an Alternative & Holistic healing company providing conversations, consultations, coaching and other services to promote positive, liberating and sustainable self-care practices. This includes sound healing therapy sessions, body positive coaching and workshops for women to promote a healthy, holistic lifestyle. This is timely as we enter a new year with new opportunities to focus on personal health and wellness. To learn more about Dr. Falami and her mission, visit the website:
